Summer Holidays - Zillertal Arena
Hiking
In the summer, the Zillertal Arena is a very special
hiking dorado. The hiking trail network of the Zillertal
Arena is over 400 km long, giving it the nickname
"Hiking Arena".
Beautiful pasture hikes are possible in the area of the
Rosenalm, the Kreuzjoch, the Isskogel, and the Wilde Krimml,
which also belong to the green grass mountains of the
Kitzbühel Alps.
Another special feature are the side valleys Schwarzachtal, Wimmertal, Schönachtal,
Wildgerlostal, Krummbachtal and the Krimml Achental. In each
of these valleys, hikers can find rest and food at a
comfortable cabin after only one hour's hike.
Bike Arena
For many it is the ultimate holiday experience: biking on
steep mountain slopes and experiencing adventure on forest
routes and nature trails. Enjoy the forest, the mountain,
all of nature - individually, each at their own speed, with
power, spirit and passion. Whether it is exciting mountain
biking that makes your heart beat faster, or quiet, flat
valley routes - there are almost no limits to your desire
for action, sport and nature. After all, the Zillertal Arena
has earned its nickname "Bike Arena"! Over 232
trail kilometers of all difficulty levels invite you to have
fun on your bike.
Alpine Climbing Trail
Gerlossteinwand - the first climbing trail in the Ziller
Valley
The men of the Mountain Rescue Zell have put
a lot of work into the construction of the new climbing
trail Gerlossteinwand. Over 450 m steel rope, 300 hand
grips, 230 rope clips, 150 anchors, among other things, were
used.
The alpine climbing trail is another tourist feature to
introduce our beautiful mountains to nature-loving, active
people of all ages. The right equipment and its correct use
enable everybody to climb such a trail: secured to a
continuous steel rope from entrance to exit, you climb on
artificial grips and steps, combined with natural grips,
across the steep rock face. Climbing trails are a continuing
trend in alpine sport and let hikers get a taste of the
vertical.
Leisure Park Zell
On an area of over 45,000 m2 you
will find every possible leisure facility: outdoor pool,
whirlpool, giant slide, children's pool, Raiffeisen
adventure playground, beach volleyball court, outdoor and
indoor tennis courts, miniature golf, bowling alley,
football, fun court (volleyball, streetball, and
basketball), and finally the "Garden of the
Senses". If you're hungry, the "Restaurant-Café im Park”
with kids' corner and panorama view of the Ziller Valley
mountains will see to your needs!
